Projects

Industrial and power generation acoustics: nine engagements since 2012.

Heavy plant answers to boundary limits, community tolerance and occupational exposure regulations at the same time, and it demands machinery experience that building acoustics practice does not usually carry. Nine engagements in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the DRC, from jet engine test cells to gas turbines, generator rooms and substations.

Some engagements, particularly for government and defense-related clients, are described by sector and scope only, and some are not published at all. References and contact details for named projects are available on request. Our Saudi work has its own page: acoustic consultants in Saudi Arabia.

Industrial and power generation

Heavy plant answers to boundary limits, community tolerance, and occupational exposure regulations simultaneously, and it demands machinery experience that building acoustics practice does not usually carry. Our nine projects include jet engine test cell measurement in Dhahran for BAE Systems and the Royal Saudi Air Force, a noise survey of two 19 MW gas turbines in Yemen, and generator room design from Middle East Airlines headquarters in Beirut to the Lubumbashi substation in the DRC. Vibration severity is classified per ISO 10816 and BS 6472, so the assessment holds up in front of a regulator.

On request

Request the project reference list

The reference list sets out our documented engagements with client, country, year, and scope, including work not published on this site. Tell us where to send it and a senior engineer will reply.

Request received.

An engineer will email you the reference list, with a note on which projects are closest to yours, usually within one working day.

An engineer emails it, usually within one working day, with a note on which projects are closest to yours. We reply to that address; nothing else is sent to it.

One conversation with a senior acoustic engineer is enough to scope the survey, the model, or the test.
